Dinner at Angela's Italian Restaurant.

All day Sandy and I packed up things we will need for our trip.  I also unpacking my personal things from my son's house in North Port to hear in Bradenton.

Sandy had a doctor's appointment in the early afternoon then we decided to go out for lunch on the way back. Another salad for me and soup and sandwich for Sandy.

Stopped by our post office and home to work some more. Both of us took showers and got dressed to meet the family for dinner at Angela's  Italian cafe in Punta Gorda. My oldest son is a bartender here. He also gave us special treatment of serving us.

I had the rib eye and it was great! My son Craig had the fried fish, Sandy had the fisherman platter, Starr had the steak tenderloin., Jim had barbeque chicken, Joyce had Chicken Parm. Sorry Cindy, I forgot what you had.

We were celebrating Cindy's birthday tonight. Happy birthday Cindy!

Took us almost two hours to drive home to Bradenton. We were tired but had a wonderful time. Thanks to Angela's the evening and food was great. Of course we can't forget our bartender and waiter, he was great too.

In a later post I will add pictures.

Second Day of our Blog.

Well had a busy day as usual.  Sandy followed me in her car to the Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler place. I had made a appointment with them.  Not bad, $85.00 later my car was fixed. After we went to her doctor's appointment. We are getting all our appointments take care of before we leave on our trip.  I broke a piece of my front tooth and had to have it repaired. So yesterday was my turn for my appointment.   It's a new dentist office near where I had just moved to. I am not keen on going to any dentist but they were very nice. I was very happy with my new dentist. He did a great job.  With my insurance I only had to pay $125.00 out of pocket. Well it had to be done.

We treated ourselves to Panera's  for lunch.  I had a salad and Sandy had soup and sandwich. I fell in love with the ice black tea.   We then went to pick up Sandy's prescription and some other needed things.  It was so hot today in the high 90's.  We both needed sinus medication to get through the day.
After picking up the mail we headed home.

The house and porch is a disaster. We looks like hoarders. Ha Ha. With my moving in and Sandy cleaning out 2 storage rentals and her home and both of us downsizing getting ready for our trip, what a disaster. As you can see some of it in the dining room we have to go through.

Tonight we had dinner at home and did lots of paper work getting ready for our trip.  Passport was high on the light. We want to see Niagara Falls.

With all the paper work finally done for today we are off to bed.  Up early tomorrow morning with lots to do.   Tomorrow night going to Punta Gorda, Fl for dinner with the family.  8 of us going to Andrea's Italian Cafe where my son Wayne is the bartender.  We will be celebrating my niece Cindy's birthday.

This past Tuesday we went to Fin's Restaurant in Venice, Fl on the Island for dinner to celebrate my niece Joyce's 50th birthday.  My son Craig is the grill cook there.  He had the night off so he could join us.  For those who don't know Joyce is on the left and her wife Cindy is on the right.   Food was incredible and service was great as usual.   The sunset from our table was wonderful! Bear with me I am just learning how to do this blog.  I will find the sunset picture later on.  ha ha.

The Beginning of our adventure.

This is our new 1990 Dodge Ram class b RV.  Sandy and I will be traveling the U.S. on our big adventure. We  hope to leave after the 4th of July.  Currently the van has been in and out of the shop being repaired for anything that is needed.  The second picture is the van at my sisters house showing the van and the Runaway we will be towing.  We are using the Runaway for a storage closet.  It is 8x4 ft.  I had previously traveled many miles pulling the Runaway with my car but now that Sandy is joining me we need a larger unit.  Sandy is my best friend of 30 years and have always dreamed of traveling together one day. Now the time is approaching.  New to this blog thing so we hope you can follow and join us along the way of our new adventure.
